About Tom King
Let me tell you a little about my background and interests. First, I bring more than 25 years of experience in business and behavioral health to coaching. I have worked in healthcare, government, major corporations, and an international consulting firm, providing counseling, coaching, consulting and training services. My work has included coaching couples and individuals in personal and professional growth, as well as helping people in organizations through issues such as re-engineering, change and transition, and critical incidents. I enjoyed serving on the board of directors of a non-profit organization called Minnesota Renewal Center for about three years. I am also active in my local church, serving as council president, on various committees, and in music ministry.
I am a certified graduate of B-Coach, an internationally recognized business and executive coach training school and part of Leadership University. I have earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and Master’s degrees in Social Work and Human Resource Development, all from the University of Minnesota.
My passion is to inspire all my clients to imagine new possibilities for their lives and walk with them as they bring it into reality. I view my work with clients as a partnership in discovery. I specialize in helping executives and other professionals build stronger marriages and create more balanced and sustainable success .
On a personal level, I am married and live in the Twin Cities area in Minnesota. I have two adult daughters who are married and doing great, and 3 delightful little granddaughters. I like to be active and enjoy bicycling, hiking, skiing, and playing guitar. Reading is important to me and I continue to run out of bookshelf space, which is why I now also have a library on my Nook.
